History

Built in the 1930s, the Metropolitan Theatre is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the Philippines. It hosted concerts, plays, and cultural performances that defined Manila’s artistic scene before World War II and stood as a symbol of Filipino creativity and modernity.

Present Day

After undergoing several restorations, the theatre has been revived as a venue for cultural shows and public events. Its restored façade and interiors now attract visitors who want to experience a piece of Manila’s artistic heritage.
